CLAUDIA GARCIA

Claudia García Soloist – Hungarian State Opera Born in Cuba, Claudia García is a distinguished ballerina known for her refined artistry, expressive stage presence, and technical brilliance. A graduate of the prestigious Fernando Alonso National Ballet School with a Gold Degree (2007–2015), she continued her academic formation with a Bachelor of Dance Art (since 2021).

From 2015 to 2022, Claudia served as Principal Dancer with the National Ballet of Cuba, where she embodied leading roles in the most iconic classical and neoclassical ballets. Her interpretations of Odette-Odile in Swan Lake, Kitri in Don Quixote, and Cinderella in Cinderella have captivated audiences and critics alike. In 2022, she joined the Hungarian State Opera as a Soloist, quickly becoming a key figure in its repertoire. Her versatility spans from the dramatic role of Myrtha in Giselle, to the elegant Sugar Fairy in The Nutcracker, and the emotionally charged roles in works by Forsythe, Cranko, Eifman, and Uwe Scholz.

She has participated in renowned competitions such as the International Ballet Competition in Havana and the South African International Ballet Competition, earning a Silver Medal (2014) and multiple mentions. Her mentors include iconic Cuban teachers such as Silvia Rodríguez, Ramona de Sáa, and Mirtha Hermida, who helped shape her into the artist she is today. Claudia has also been a frequent guest artist at major international galas, including Les Étoiles in Rome and Ravenna (2023–2024), as well as in Bratislava, Campeche, and through cultural exchanges in Mexico. Her artistic range and consistent excellence place her among the most promising Cuban dancers of her generation.
