Maude Sabourin is an internationally acclaimed dancer and ballet mistress whose career reflects both artistic excellence and a deep commitment to community. Trained at the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec, she went on to join the prestigious Ballets de Monte-Carlo, where she quickly rose to the rank of Principal Dancer, performing on some of the world’s most celebrated stages. Throughout her career, Maude has had the privilege of collaborating with legendary choreographers including Jiří Kylián, Marco Goecke, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Marcia Haydée, and William Forsythe. In 2018, following an extensive international career, Maude joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal as a Principal Dancer, where she continues to inspire audiences with her artistry. She is regularly invited to perform in leading international galas, sharing her passion with diverse communities across the globe.
Alongside her performance career, Maude is the Artistic Director of The Dance Lab, an initiative through which she curates workshops and masterclasses, with proceeds dedicated to humanitarian causes. In June 2025, she produced a major fundraising performance in Montreal, bringing together women of all generations on stage in support of survivors of domestic violence—furthering her vision of using art as a catalyst for social change. During the pandemic, she also founded The Ballet Cure, an online platform making ballet accessible to audiences worldwide. Her artistry has also intersected with the fashion world. In 2024, she was featured in the Portraits and Fashion – Québec Photographers Beyond Borders exhibition at the McCord Museum, in collaboration with photographer Carl Lessard, celebrating the fusion of dance and fashion. Based in Montreal, Maude remains a notable presence in the city’s fashion scene, often appearing as a guest personality during Fashion Week and in high-profile cultural events.
